FMP Days five to eight
Continuing with wood sculptures. Using white foam board inked black to create comic book panels. In restrospect I would definietly just buy some black foam board, or use black spray paint to get the desired effect, because printing ink takes days to dry on this material. Regardless I am working with it and will press on. The final sculpture will be on 3 horizontal levels.
Am 1000 words behind on my essay, need to get more references, but otherwise I am managing to generate asteady amount of writing.
Need to stick to my time plan. I’m not keeping up with the workload at home. Next week I will be attempting to catch up to my plan and produce a lot more sketchbook pages. I think I am spending too much time worrying that m work isn’t branching out/experimental enough, which is demotivating me. Need to grab the project by the horns and do things on the spur of the moment.
Have decided to use my essay as influence to extend my project. WIll be attempting to combing the comic book style with political graphic design.
